How many times do I Need to Visit my Dentist Whilst Undergoing Treatment?
In order to get the best results, it is best to have regular review appointments. This will ensure that your Clear Aligner treatment is going to plan and will allow your dentist to make any minor amendments to your treatment plan.
Will my teeth remain straight following treatment?
If left to their own devices, your teeth can move after treatment is complete. To prevent this and to maintain your perfect smile, your dentist will advise you on the best type of retainer. This is not required to be worn during the day.
How long do I need to wear my Clear Aligners?
Ideally, you should wear your Clear Aligners for 20-22 hours per day. You can remove your aligners to eat and brush your teeth. Each Clear Aligner needs to be worn for 12-14 days. Your dentist will advise you on the length of each stage of aligner treatment.
Will my speech be affected?
Due to the micro thin nature of Clear Aligners, it usually only takes a few hours to adjust to wearing them. Occasionally, it may take a little longer. When you change to the next aligner, you will not notice any difference, due to the minor adjustments of each stage of your Clear Aligner treatment plan.
Will I be restricted to what I can eat during treatment?
No. Unlike other orthodontic treatments, with Clear Aligner, you can eat and drink as normal.
